Welcome to our WebsiteOpen Door Accommodation Project has been working with homeless and vulnerable young people in West Lothian for 24 years. We operate an Emergency Hostel where young people aged 16-21 can stay for up to 8 weeks whilst they look for alternative suitable accommodation. At the Hostel the young person will be allocated a named key-worker who will work with them offering advice, information, move-one options etc. Our Supported Flats service provides supported accommodation, living within the community. This service is available to 16-21 year olds. The young person will be allocated a support worker who will help them with access to employement, training, or education, filling out housing applications, helping with budgeting etc. The Tenancy Support service works with 16-25 year olds living in their own tenancies. A support worker will visit with the young person weekly providing practical support such as help with shopping, cooking, budgeting etc as well as offering advice and information for accessing employment, training, education, childcare services etc. |
